Lucia Fei is a YoungArts 2023 Finalist in Design Art, currently majoring in 2D animation at Pratt Institute. She enjoys working with Procreate and other physical and digital media. Her goal in 2D animation is to create poetic and emotionally grounded stories with vivid atmosphere and movement in her own style. She wants to further discover how gestures, timing, and composition can communicate unspoken tensions and emotions. She is interested in experimenting with various media and techniques to expand her creativity in storytelling and animation through interdisciplinary practices. As a 2D animation artist, Lucia wants to create work that invites viewers to linger and resonate.
